LegacySure – Return & Refund Policy

At LegacySure, we are committed to transparency, fairness, and customer protection. This Return and Refund Policy explains your rights and our obligations regarding cancellations, refunds, and changes to your policy.


1. Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with applicable South African consumer and insurance regulations, clients are entitled to a cooling-off period of 14 (fourteen) days from the policy commencement date.

  • If you cancel your policy within this period and no claim has been made, you may be eligible for a full refund of premiums paid, less any applicable administrative or service fees.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.


2. Policy Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period

  • You may cancel your policy at any time after the cooling-off period by providing written notice.

  • Premiums already paid are non-refundable once the cooling-off period has lapsed.

  • Coverage will cease on the effective cancellation date confirmed by LegacySure.


3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation within the cooling-off period (subject to conditions above)

  • Duplicate or erroneous premium deductions

  • Overpayment of premiums

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • A claim has already been submitted or paid

  • The policy has been active beyond the cooling-off period

  • Non-disclosure or misrepresentation is identified


4. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.

  • Refunds will be paid via the original payment method where possible.

  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank.


5. Changes to Policies

  • Policy amendments (such as beneficiary updates or cover adjustments) do not qualify for refunds.

  • Any approved changes will be confirmed in writing and may affect premium amounts going forward.


6. Claims and Refunds

  • Once a claim has been submitted or paid, the policy becomes non-refundable.

  • Any attempt to cancel after a claim will not result in a refund.


7. Fraud Prevention

LegacySure reserves the right to withhold refunds where fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or policy abuse is suspected.
